Kiwanis Club of
Lincoln-Cornhusker

President: Randy Arnold

Thanks for visiting our web site. Our club is a  vibrant, energetic service organization which focuses most of our work toward the children of the world. Our membership is of local business, professional and retired men and women from many walks of life.

Guests are always welcome and regularly visit our meetings each Thursday noon. We meet at the Venue Restaurant's "Cornhusker Banquet Room"; 4111 Pioneer Woods Drive; Lincoln, NE (enter from east door into banquet room). Our meetings consist of a light lunch, short business meeting, and a thirty-minute program of community interest. Great fellowship and fun are included throughout the meeting.

Locally, our club sponsors youth groups at six public schools and a club for developmentally challenged. We offer support to youth for attending camps and schools. Some children are affected by efforts of reading and book distribution, monetary donations, donations of needed supplies of daily living, and the LPS/Food Bank Backpack program. Some youth programs are Key Leader (leadership training for high school youth), Camp OK (for elementary children), Cornhusker Boys & Girls State, bike rodeos and safety events, scholarships, and Lakeview City Park.

While our main emphasis is children, we also support Meals on Wheels, Salvation Army, Community Blood Bank, and other community projects.

Kiwanis International has had a great impact world-wide and continues to offer support to children around the world. Please visit our international web site at www.Kiwanis.org for more information about our 8,000 service clubs in 96 countries around the globe.

It takes a number of volunteer hours and considerable amount of fund raising to accomplish these ambitious goals. Funds are received through the Kiwanis Pancake Day, Kiwanis Peanut Day, and working at events at the Lancaster Events Center. We also receive funds through the Wish ‘N’ Spin collection points throughout Lincoln. To support with these endeavors, the "Lincoln Cornhusker Kiwanis Foundation, Inc." (501c3) was formed to accept funds and assist with the desires of the Kiwanis club.

Whether we are working on an event for the community or raising funds for the continuation of other projects, we always have a great time and enjoy the comradery of the membership of our club.

Thanks for taking the time to “look us over.” If you would like more information about our club, please feel free to click on "More Information."
